Women's Ministries

The Women’s Association at Laurelhurst combines

joy of fellowship, the inspiration of Bible study and discussion,

and the privilege of sharing and helping others.

Two circles meet throughout the year:
on

e in the daytime and one in the evening.

On occasion, these groups gather together at the

church for a lunch and program.

Visitors are always welcomed at any of our activities.

Magdalene Circle

Magdalene Circle is a women’s circle of faith in the Presbyterian Church of Laurelhurst that was started by a group of young mothers and now includes all interested women of the church.

Magdalene Circle usually meets the fourth Friday evening of each month where we participate in a variety of activities including spiritual study, movie and dinner nights out, service projects, and just plain old fellowship. Magdalene Circle sponsors the our Annual Harvest Dinner each November.

Deborah Circle

Deborah Circle meets on the second Wednesday of each month.

Meetings are held at 11 am in member’s homes.

Programs include Bible Study,

lunch and of course fellowship.

At their annual Christmas event,

members of this group gather

Christmas gifts for residents of a local nursing home.

Donations to our Women’s Association are distributed to: Campus Crusade for Christ, the Salvation Army, the Sunshine Division, Northwest Medical Teams, FISH Emergency Service, Presbyterian Frontier Fellowship, Union Gospel Mission, Portland Rescue Mission, and other worthy causes.
